Dr. Lai completed medical school at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India and Malaysia in 2006. She performed her Internship at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Malaysia and her Residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital in affiliation with Yale School of Medicine, Connecticut.
She is a board certified in Internal Medicine and has numerous awards and honors. Dr. Lai has professional memberships in the American College of Physicians (ACP), American Medical Association (AMA), Obesity Medical Association (OMA), Medical Practitioners Coalition Association of Malaysia (MPCAM), Royal Colleges of Physician (United Kingdom), and Malaysian Medical Association.
Dr. Lai enjoys getting to know her patients and working collaboratively toward their goals. She is a dedicated advocate for preventative care and compassionate management of acute and chronic illnesses.
Dr. Lai is proficient in English, Mandarin and Malay, and Conversational Cantonese. She enjoys playing racket sports and spending time with her husband and son.
